DID YOU KNOW HOW OLD WAS ARON WINTER WHEN HE WAS PART OF THE DUTCH NATIONAL TEAM WHEN THEY WON THE UEFA EURO 1988 CHAMPIONSHIP?

While with AFC Ajax Amsterdam, 21 years old Aron Winter wore the number 5 jersey for the Oranje (Netherlands national football team) that won the UEFA Euro 1988 Championship hosted by West Germany, but did not play in any of the five matches. They beat U.S.S.R. 2-0 in the final played at the Olympiastadion in Munich with Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten the scorers.

DO YOU KNOW THE FIRST PLAYER TO WIN THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IN TWO CONSECUTIVE SEASONS WITH DIFFERENT CLUBS?

Ghanaian born French defender, Marcel Desailly is the first player to win the UEFA Champions League in two consecutive seasons with different clubs. His first triumph was with Olympique Marseille of France in the 1992/1993 season against AC Milan at the Olympiastadion in Munich while in the following season (1993/1994), he won it with AC Milan when they defeated FC Barcelona in Athens Karaiskakis Stadium where he scored the last goal in a 4-0 thrashing.
