DO YOU KNOW WHO HAS SCORED THE MOST GOALS IN ONE SEASON SINCE THE ADVENT OF THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE?
The joint record holders are Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who both managed 34 in a season - Cole for Newcastle United in 1993-94 and Shearer in the colours of Blackburn Rovers the following year. Cole had marginally the better strike rate, as his goals came in 40 games to Shearer's 42. Since the English Premier League was reduced to 38 games, the best total is the 31 Cristiano Ronaldo mustered for Manchester United in 2007-08.
