By May 1993, Raymond Goethals had become the oldest man at 72 years to coach an European Champions Cup winning team when he coached Olympique Marseille to winning the UEFA Champions League title in 1993 against AC Milan at the Olympic Stadion in Munich which was the first in the new format.
