The three Manchester City players to have finished the season as Top Flight highest goalscorers in English football are Frank Roberts in the 1924/1925 old English Division One season with 31 goals, Francis Lee also in the 1971/1972 old English Division One season with 33 goals and Carlos Tevez in the 2010/2011 English Premier League (EPL) season with 20 goals.

 On Super Sunday 18th September 2011, Manchester United F.C. equal their club record of 18 consecutive home league wins when they defeated rivals Chelsea F.C. 3 - 1 with goals from Chris Smalling, Nani and Wayne Rooney - and it's the first time they have done it at Old Trafford. The record was actually set 107 years ago when they played at Bank Street in Clayton; a ground less than half a mile from Manchester City's current ground.
