Under performing Arsenal FC striker Marouane Chamakh is a trained accountant.While pursuing his career as a professional footballer, Chamakh was equally adept off the field earning good grades in school. 

During his early years at Girondins de Bordeaux, the Moroccan international began attending high school. He hoped to earn a Baccalauréat in accounting, which he later accomplished.

It was the first time ever that this football club from North London was knocked-out of both domestic cup competitions by lower league teams.  

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal F.C. lost in the English League Cup now known as the Capital One Cup to English League 2 side Bradford City. They also lost in the English FA Cup to English Championship clubside Blackburn Rovers.

The Toffees are one of seven teams to have played all 21 seasons of the EPL since its inception in August 1992 - the others being Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Shinji Kagawa will be the 5th Japanese player in the English Premier League (EPL) history after Manchester United have agreed deal with Borussia Dortmund.

The other Japanese to have played in the EPL are Junichi Inamoto for Fulham FC and West Brom from 2002–2006, Ryo Miyaichi for Bolton Wanderers in 2012 on loan from Arsenal, Hidetoshi Nakata for  Bolton Wanderers from 2005–2006 and Kazuyuki Toda for Tottenham Hotspur from 2002–2003 which makes it 5 in total.

They lost home and away clashes to FC Porto, Olympique Marseille and Real Madrid in 2003/04 and then to Shakhtar Donetsk, Arsenal and SC Braga in the 2010/2011 season.
