The player that currently holds the record for being the youngest player to have scored 100 goals in the Italian Serie A is Alberto Gilardino. ''Gila'' as he is often nicknamed, achieved this feat on October 18 2008 at 26 years and 3 months while playing for ACF Fiorentina, thanks to a brace against Reggina. He has played for other Italian clubs like Piacenza, Hellas Verona FC, Parma FC, AC Milan, Genoa CFC and  Bologna FC.
