Frank Lampard who began his playing career with West Ham United in 1995 for whom his father Frank Lampard Sr. had also played, was sent on loan to Swansea City AFC for the 1995/1996 season where he made 9 appearances and scored a goal as a 17 year old.

The two African players that have ever topped the Dutch Eredivisie goalscorers chart are Mounir El Hamdaoui of Morocco and Wilfried Bony of Cote d' Ivoire. 

El Hamdaoui scored 23 goals for AZ Alkmaar in 2008/2009 while Bony scored 31 goals with Vitesse Arnhem in 2012/2013. He will be playing for Swansea City AFC in the English Premier League (EPL) from the 2013/2014 season.

DO YOU KNOW THE RECORD SIGNING OF WEST HAM UNITED?

The record signing for West Ham United is Matt Jarvis who cost The Hammers a whopping £10 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers on August 24 2012 on a five year contract with an option for an additional year.   

Jarvis made his debut for West Ham United on August 25 2012 in a 3–0 away defeat to Swansea City AFC. He scored his first goal for the club on October 1 2012, opening the scoring in a 2-1 win away to Queens Park Rangers.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT BILL SHANKLY AND BRENDAN RODGERS HAVE IN COMMON APART FROM BEEN FORMER AND CURRENT MANAGERS OF LIVERPOOL FC?

Legendary Liverpool FC manager Bill Shankly joined the Merseyside club from Huddersfield Town in 1959. His last game for Huddersfield Town is by defeating Liverpool FC 1-0 at the old Leeds Road ground on November 28, 1959. 

Current manager, Brendan Rodgers appointed from Swansea City AFC on June 1, 2012 last game for The Swans was also to beat Liverpool FC 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium on May 13, 2012.
