During the final of UEFA Euro 96 tournament held in England, Queen Elizabeth II attended her first football match since England 1966 FIFA World Cup final match at Wembley Stadium where she handed Jurgen Klinsmann the captain of Germany, the Henri Delaunay Trophy after they defeated Czech Republic 2-1. Ever since, Her Majesty has not attended a football match.
