Danny Welbeck of Manchester United scored England's only two goals in the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship hosted by Denmark when they were eliminated in Group B that had Spain, Ukraine and Czech Republic. 

He scored an 88th minute equaliser as England began the tournament with a 1–1 draw against Spain and equalised against Czech Republic in the 76th minute but still lost the game 1-2 under the tutulage of Stuart Pearce.
