The first stadium in the world to host two FIFA World Cup final matches is the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City which hosted the finals in 1970 between the Selecao of Brazil and the Azzurri of Italy and in 1986, between the Albiceleste of Argentina and West Germany.
According to plans, the Estadio do MaracanĂ£ in Rio de Janeiro is expected to host the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup final to make it the second stadium to do so.
At the Espana 82 FIFA World Cup match between the Azzuris of Italy and the Albiceleste of Argentina, Claudio Gentile committed six fouls which was all on Diego Maradona. After the encounter, he famously quipped, "Football is not for ballerinas!" Gentile was capped on 71 occasions by Italy between 1975 and 1984. He is now the current manager of the Libyan National Team.
Sergio Goycochea, the ever showman goalkeeper for the Albiceleste of Argentina to the Italia 90 FIFA World Cup is now a sports journalist after retiring from football in 1998 at his last club Newell Old Boys. Argentina's former No1 took a journalism course and became just another student. "It was a lifestyle decision," he explains. "I wanted to earn the respect of my colleagues and that's why I spent three years studying. It wasn't easy. I studied four days a week for three years, sitting alongside 18-year-old kids who knew who I was. But it was worth it in the end." Since completing the course he has presented Km por Hora,Abanderadosand Resto del Mundo on Argentinian TV and has also teamed up with one-time team-mate Diego Maradona to co-host the famous La Noche del Diez.
