DO YOU KNOW THE LAST TIME MANCHESTER CITY WON THE FA COMMUNITY SHIELD CUP?

The FA Community Shield
The last time Manchester City won a FA Community Shield Cup was in 1972 at the Villa Park in Birmingham against home side Aston Villa in a 1-0 scoreline netted by Francis Lee from the penalty spot.

Normally, the Charity Shield (as it was then known), would have been contested by the English League First Division champions and English FA Cup holders, who were Derby County and Leeds United, but both declined the chance to play in the Charity Shield. Instead, Manchester City, who had finished in fourth place in the First Division and Aston Villa, who finished as Third Division champions, accepted the invitation to play.
