DO YOU KNOW THE FIRST CHAMPION OF THE BELGIAN JUPILER LEAGUE?

The first league in Belgian football now known as the Belgian Jupiler Pro League was held in 1895/1896 as a round-robin tournament with 7 teams: Antwerp FC, FC Brugeois, FC Liége, RC de Bruxelles, Léopold Club de Bruxelles, SC de Bruxelles and Union d'Ixelles. FC Liége became the first league champion of Belgium in that season.

FC Liége is the club that once had Nigeria's Alloy Agu, Victor Ikpepa, Sunday Oliseh and a certain Jean-Marc Bosman who changed how the transfer market is operated. The club now plays in the Belgian Third Division.
