DO YOU KNOW THE YOUNGEST PLAYER TO RETIRE FROM INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL?

Bernd Schuster
After appearing 21 times for West Germany and scoring 4 goals, attacking midfield wizard, Bernd Schuster became the youngest player to retire from international football at the age of 24 years in 1984 while still playing for FC Barcelona of Spain. According to Schuster himself, his premature retirement from the West German National Team was due to a major disagreement with the managements of both FC Barcelona and the German National Team on either side of a friendly match against Brazil in May 1981.
