Joseph Yobo made his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria against the Chipolopolo of Zambia on March 24th, 2001 in a Mali 2002 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier. He has earned over 86 caps for his country which makes him the most capped. He equalled the 86 caps barrier held by Muda Lawal and Nwankwo Kanu against the same Chipolopolo of Zambia on November 15th, 2011 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna in an international friendly
