On April 24, 1996, Eidur Guðjohnsen and his father Arnór Guðjohnsen entered football history when playing in an international friendly for Iceland against Estonia in Tallinn. Arnór started the match, and Eidur came on in the second half as a substitute for his father to make his debut for Iceland. All very nice, but not quite what Arnor had asked for, because they didn’t get to play together, though they did make history as the only father and son combination to appear in the same international fixture. And then Eidur broke his ankle in a youth tournament. It took him two years to start playing again, by which time Arnor had retired, though he’s still involved in Eidur’s career as his agent.

DO YOU KNOW THE FOOTBALLER THAT ONCE REPLACED HIS DAD IN AN INTERNATIONAL MATCH AS HIS DEBUT?
