Borussia Dortmund's UEFA Cup Winners' Cup win in 1996/1965 season made them the first German Bundesliga club to win a European title. They beat Liverpool F.C 2-1 after extra time in the final match played at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland with goals from Sigfried Held and Reinherd Libuda for BVB and Roger Hunt for the Merseyside club.
