ASEC Mimosas based in Abidjan, commercial capital of Cote D'Ivoire went unbeaten for 108 league games between 1989 and 1994 in the Côte d'Ivoire Premier Division under managers Phillipe Garot (1987-1989), Philippe Troussier (1990-1992), Eustache Manglé (1992–1993) and Charles Roessli (1993–1994). 

ASEC Mimosas' record is  four more than the unbeaten run of Steaua Bucureşti in the Romania Liga 1 which started from June 1986 to September 1989, a record of 104-matches setting a world record for that time and a European one still standing.
