Sergei Aleinikov of USSR scored the fastest goal of UEFA Euro 1988 championship hosted by West Germany from June 10 - 25, 1988. He did this in their last Group B match at the Waldstadion, Frankfurt against the Three Lions of England in the 3rd minute on June 18, 1988. Incidentally, it was the only goal he scored in that tournament.
