Former Super Eagles skipper, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi fondly called The Big Boss made his debut for the then Green Eagles of Nigeria as a substitute for Christian Chukwu in a Espana 82 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Desert Warriors of Algeria in 1981 which ended in a 0-2 home defeat at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
