DID YOU KNOW THE ONLY ENGLISH BORN PLAYER TO FEATURE IN LIVERPOOL FC STARTING 11 IN THE 1986 ENGLISH FA CUP FINAL?
Mark Lawrenson was the only English born player in Liverpool F.C.'s starting line-up in the 1986 English FA Cup final played at the prestigious Wembley Stadium. It ended with the Reds defeating neighbours Everton F.C. 3-1 in the first and still the only English FA Cup final Merseyside derby that had Gary Linekar opening scoring. He played a total of 241 games and scored 11 goals for the Merseyside outfit from 1981 - 1988.
